How To  Cook Hard Boiled Eggs

Place eggs in a medium pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch.

Bring to a boil, then cover the pot and turn the heat off. Let the eggs cook, covered, for 9 to 12 minutes, depending on your desired done-ness.

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and chill for 14 minutes. This makes the eggs easier to peel. Peel and set aside

Note:Eggs may vary based on size, type, and freshness. Farm-fresh eggs are more difficult to peel than older eggs.

Cut the eggs into halves,scoop the kachumbari and add into the middle of each egg.

  3. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and chill for 14 minutes.This will make them easier to peel.

  4. Peel each egg and set aside

  5. Dice the onion finely and add salt water

  6. Dice the tomatoes and add in a bowl.

  7. Add in the soaked onions to the bowl with tomatoes,olive oil,lemon juice and cilantro or parsley and mix everything together.

  8. Peel the eggs and cut into halves

  9. Scoop kachumbari and add into the middle of each egg
