This cucumber and onion salad recipe comes together quickly with just a few ingredients that you also have in your pantry.It is a refreshing but also a tangy salad.You can have it as an accompaniment with chicken,grilled meats or on its own.

Cucumber Onion Salad Dressing
- White vinegar (you can also use apple cider vinegar its less acidic)
- black pepper
Add water and vinegar to a pot,add sugar and place on a medium high heat,stir until the sugar is dissolved .Remove from fire and add black pepper and stir.
How To Make Cucumber Onion Salad
Half and thinly slice red onions and add to the dressing you prepared.
Remove some skin from the Cucumber and thinly slice.
Place the cucumbers in a bowl and sprinkle with salt and toss,cover and chill for 40 mins.Drain excess juice,add in dill,mint or parsley.
Pour the dressing and onions on the cucumbers and mix everything.
you can serve immediately or refrigrate before serving.
You can make this cucumber and onion salad ahead of time.Its best eaten the day you make it,but can last for 3 days .
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
